I've come across the web site of Kessinger Publishing
(www.kessinger.net), a remarkable publisher which may be of interest
to some people on this list. They specialize in reprints of long
out-of-print works on a wide variety of subjects, mostly pre-20th
century. I've only actually seen one of their books, but it seemed
well produced, except (and this is apparently true of most of their
books) it had a tacky standardized cover. They sell through
amazon.com. Their prices are moderate; not cheap, but typically a lot
less than the actual books, if you could find them at all.
Their offerings will be too obscure for many people, but those of us
who enjoy traversing the more obscure byways of 18th, 19th, and early
20th century scholarship and literature will find their catalog
intriguing.
[Disclaimer: I have no financial interest blah-blah-blah, am only a
typical customer yadda-yadda-yadda ...]
