I am accessing jiscmail remotely so there may have been some chat on this
topic already today so I apologise if there has and I hope this is taken
as being helpful and not critical. I see a number of issues with your
kind offer to sell the vaccines on which are:
1. I was under the impression that as they are a POM we are not allowed
to sell these on as you would need a wholesale license to do this.
2. As the prescription mandate is presumably given to the OHA for that
particular client then we would be operating outside the remit of the
mandate thus putting yourself and the Physician who signed the mandate at
risk under the medicines act, professional guidelines etc..
3. The vaccines must be transported via a 'cold chain' where the
temperature is monitored to be betweem 2-8 degrees celcius. I am unsure
that we could guarantee this.
Try contacting you supplier as some will do a sale or return, but in all
honesty not many will do this due to the inability we would have to prove
how they were stored.
I would be grateful if someone has a definitive answer as these rambling
are currently just my opinion.
Regards
Frank
