It was simply about changing the header not a declaration that I have no interest in my profession Bob!
I have gone thru the GNC, UKCC and now NMC changing the rules and moving the goal posts on fees etc for the past donkeys years..... I have been an SRN an RGN and now having to change again. I do care but just suggested the header reflects the topic so that I can decide which notes to open and which I don't.

Jane

So it appears Jane, that you (as a nurse) don't have a view (or wish others to express a view) on the NMC's lack of forsight and insight into nursing, and OH nursing in particular. Furthermore, it appears that you have no views that you wish to express on the parlous state of the NHS and how the patients it cares for could be better served......
I also don't know what alternative I could use as a header for this email...so I'll leave it as it is!
Bob

Hi all,
I got really excited to see so many responses to the Carol Black issue - then opened every one to find the (aptly named) grumpy old nurses (GON) saga.
It is helpful when looking at jisc if the subject header reflects the topic then users can choose to open or, in the GON debate for example, delete.

Exactly Bob!
I remember when we had our first case of C.Diff, and the cause then was not
only hand-washing but the over-prescribing of antibiotics.
We addressed the hand-washing, and cleaning issue (why wards no longer have
a designated domestic i'll never know) but the mass prescribing of
antibiotics continued, and still does!!
The out-sourcing of cleaning is a now a major factor in this. Reap what is
sown?? Sadly gone are the days of having your own domestic as part of the
team, and if there was a problem (which was very rare) you could simply go
and say "Yvonne, can you just come and ....". What's the chances of that
now??
Very sad, and this is only back in 1997. mmmm, what happened that year, oh
yes, the NHS was saved, we've never had investment like it, we've never
been so well off!! We should be so lucky!!
I feel better now!
Glenn
