medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
It must be recalled that science articles often have MULTIPLE AUTHORS;
often as many as a dozen, because everyone involved in an experiment
gets
listed as author. This means that the number of articles you can claim
is
much greater than in the humanities, but there's a catch as well:
It is of great importance to be the PI -
Primary Investigator - for an appropriate number of these articles,
if you are going to get tenure, promotion, or whatever.
Meg
i recently had the experiece of helping a Lieberry Scientist friend
finish her
dissertation by doing some initial spadework which involved extensive
use of
one of the very, very extensive science databases on-line.
i was amazed at
1) the shear *number* of articles available --*massively* more than in
the
humanities; those guys must really Perish if they don't Publish.
