As far as the Palm Sunday procession is concerned, Winchester follows
Lanfranc to the letter.

Well, no. The Sherborne liturgy would have been taken to Old Sarum, but
Osmund then completely replaced the monks by secular canons, and seems to
have taken the liturgy pretty comprehensively from Normandy (most likely
Rouen). So it is a bit of a puzzle that the Palm Sunday procession is closer
to the Regularis Concordia form.
