Postcolonial Studies and/or Global Cinema/Visual culture with French
Studies and Religious Studies

Salary £27,466 - £40,335 p.a. Grade 7- 8
The School invites applications for 2 lectureships. The successful
candidates' research will relate to one or more of the established
research areas of the School, and through them to research excellence
in the wider University. In particular, the successful candidates will
have research expertise in one of the following areas, though their
expertise should not be limited to that area: Postcolonial Studies
(broadly defined), Visual Culture, or Global Cinema. S/he will
contribute significantly to the development of postgraduate and
research activities within the dynamic research environment of a
highly integrated School and will contribute as appropriate to
undergraduate teaching on the School's programmes.
Candidates should hold a PhD or expect to gain the degree by 1
February 2007 and should have experience of University teaching and
administration.
Lectureship with French Studies
The School invites applications from candidates with strong research
in an area of modern or contemporary French/Francophone Studies. The
successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate teaching on
French studies programmes, and to Honours language teaching.
