- tiny school with a G5 iMac connected wirelessly to ADSL broad-band
via a router: when I choose 'go' > connect to server and tell it to
find my G5 iMac at home, it goes straight there, via the IP name server
which my home machine keeps up-to-date with my changing dynamic IP
number just the way David Pogue describes it in the Missing Manual -
complete magic, of course, but replicable!
- a first-generation G4 Mac mini conceived as the main administration
machine, connected by ethernet cable to the same router: the same
process regularly produces the message 'the server cannot be found, try
later or try a different URL'
- any ideas why that might be?
