Dear All
Just a quick reminder of the Royal Society Library's autumn events
programme <http://www.royalsoc.ac.uk/page.asp?id=6945> , which continues
on Friday 19 October with a look at engraving and printing in the early
days of the Society:
Prints as process and product in the early Royal Society
The early Royal Society was much concerned with engraving and printing -
both as a technical discipline and a practical tool for illustration and
publication - yet we seem to know little about the artists involved, not
least with the most enduring images of the Society's early work, the
plates from Hooke's 'Micrographia'.
Dr Jim Bennett, Museum of the History of Science, Oxford
All are welcome! For further information or to make a booking for any of
the events, please email our general library mailbox
