Thanks. Repairing the file by hand and "service globus-mds restart"
seems to have fixed the problem.
However, I would like a permanent solution and not have to repeat it
the next time we configure. Is the file,
/opt/lcg/var/gip/ldif/static-file-SE.ldif, generated directly from
site-info.def and vo.d/* by yaim? The file, vo.d/ops, looks OK (no
non-printing chars). So I do not know how the ldif file was corrupted.
