I really feel for you, because I know that getting things done politically
is all about gladhanding, smooth talking, networking, knowing the social
rules, getting on with people, getting it right, not talking too much or too
little, winning supporters and influencing people, making those fine
personal adjustments in every way, in short having a "nice personality".
Good on you for not selling out. I hope there are more people in the UK who
are willing to go in to bat for you, because you can't be expected to do it
all by yourself.

Just to inform all those who have offered me their support, especially, as
usual Adrian Whyatt, a 'big' thank-you, when I am experiencing great
'trauma' in my personal life.
I know that there are some of you out-there think I should get the hell out
of the East Riding Of Yorkshire (and Hull) for my own health and safety and
my overall health and wellbeing.
My answer to these people is that where else do I go? I have been embattled
now with all the local public bodies since 1995 (nearly 13 years), so
packing my bags and given up my fight is not the solution, because where
ever I go I will experience the same 'ignorance' and discriminatory
comments, attitudes and behaviour, which 'Disablism' against myself and
other NeuroDiverse people will not go away if I 'run-away' and go in hiding
somewhere else.
What 'real' choices have I go being a ND disabled 'flood-victim'?
I also have a professional ethical, and personal 'moral' responsibility to
continue to 'speak-out' against all forms of oppression against ND's, like
myself, and all other disabled people and coinue to tell 'the-truth'.
I have moved to another hotel, near the Humber Bridge, on Friday night.
I just need 'space', away from people and the 'rat-race', especially bigoted
ignorant professionals in my care who are making me feel 'unwell', to
reflect on where I go from here?
I need 'low-arousal' environments where my ND brain can 'recover'.
I need Mr Goring, Advocate to support me, with others, to enable me to
action my Wellness and Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), which none of the
profesionals within my care are able to support me implementing.
I have made a rationale decision and 'sacked' them all, as a CSIP/NIMHE
certified qualified WRAP trainer and practitioner to enable this process to
be implemented in my life and I need the support of Mr Goring and/or another
advocate, with legal advocacy, with peer advocacy and COS/F's support to
make the right decisions and choices which will enable my empowerment and
wellness and recovery.
I apologise for cross-posting and also posting to Disability-Research, but I
know I have some good friends and colleagues within te Disability Research
forum, who will be concerned for my 'safety' and 'welfare' and is only fair
and morally right to inform others that I am iin a 'safe-place', after all
the recent trauma in my personal life, which impacts on my
'professional-life' too.
I know I need to find the 'inner-strength', as a ND 'survivor', to continue
to 'speak-out' for basic human rights and equality, even though I have to
suffer all this pain and hurt within my personal life, which has impacted on
my professional career, but being 'honest' is more important to me, instead
of taken 'blood-money' from our oppressors who keep us in our chains.
We all have to search deep into 'our' consciences and I know all the work
which I am doing, which I need to remind everyone of 'anti-oppressive
practice' values which I signed up to as a ND disabled professional, that I
know, that each-day I wake-up my conscience is clear and I have put up a
'NOT-FOR-SALE' sign on all my personal and professional values and ethics.
I will always stand by the side in 'SOLIDARITY' with all my ND and other
disabled brothers and sisters to fight all forms of abuses and oppression to
continue our daily fight for full equality, social justice and civil
liberities and basic human rights.
