Associate or Advanced Assistant Professor in Historical Archaeology

The Sociology-Anthropology Department invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track position at
the associate or advanced assistant professor level in anthropological historical archaeology, to
begin August 11, 2008. Geographic area of specialization is open, but theoretical interest in social
inequality is especially desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to play a central role in
the department’s master’s program in historical archaeology. International Candidates Will Be
Considered. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Candidates must have a completed Ph.D, significant experience in historical archaeology, evidence of
an established project of field research, with teaching experience preferred. Applicants should send a
