Hi all
I am currently developing an exhibition about 'hairstyles/identity' in
Birmingham, which will be displayed at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in
summer/autumn 2008. The exhibition will cover the period of living memory
(so covering about the last 80 years) and will explore diversity within the
city.
I am interested to find out if anyone has done any work in this area e.g.
research around Black hairdressers, oral history or collecting projects
related to hairstyles, conference talks etc. I am particularly interested
in research/material which relates to Birmingham/West Midlands but would
like to hear about other areas as well.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give; and please do forward this
email onto anyone else who you think might be able to assist.
Have a great weekend!
Best wishes
Liz
