The British Records Association with the Royal Institute of British
Architects: The British Architectural Library would like to invite all
ARCHIVES-NRA subscribers to its conference 'Buildings on Paper,' which will
take place on the 4th December 2007 at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Speakers include Charles Hind, Curator of Drawings at the Britsh
Architectural Library who will speak of the archives held at the RIBA,
Other speakers will include Anna Eavis of the National Monuments Record
Office, Martin Stancliffe of St Pauls Cathedral and Simon Bradley for
Pevsner Architectural Guides. Professor Malcolm Airs will talk of the
Lamport Hall that Never was and the day will finish with a talk by Michael
Port on the Commissioners Churches forty five years on with a comparison on
the use of architectural archives in 1960 and 2005. Nicholas Kingsley will
be providing the Maurice Bond lecture and will be speaking of the
challenges and opportunities available within architectural archives.
