Research Statistician
Division of Inherited Eye Disease
The Research Statistician will work as part of a multi disciplinary team
investigating the genetic epidemiology of age-related macular
degeneration the leading cause of blindness in the UK. This is a
collaborative study involving the Institute of Ophthalmology in London and
the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research at the University of
Cambridge. The successful applicant will have an MSc or equivalent
experience in statistics or a related discipline. Some experience of the
analysis of epidemiological datasets is essential.
Starting salary will be on the UCL pay scale, Grade 7, up to spine point 32
(£29,139 per annum), plus £2,572 London Allowance per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience. The post is funded by the Guide Dogs for
the Blind Association for up to 3 years (in the first instance).
