Lecturer in Statistics
Applications are invited for a permanent Lecturer in
Statistics to join the School of Mathematics. The successful
candidate would be expected to expand and/or complement the
present research area, develop research collaboration inside
and outside the School and/or University, and assist in the
design, development and delivery of modules in Statistics.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Statistics or related
discipline along with presentation and communication skills.
Research interest may be in any area of Statistics with a proven
record of research and strong commitment to teaching. Strong research
potential is expected of the applicants who have recently completed
their PhD. The position is available immediately but should be
taken up latest by 1 September 2008.

Starting salary in the range of £33,779 to £ 35,837 a year (potential
progression on performance once in post to £45,397).
