Salary: £33,779-£42,791 (pro-rata) Limit of tenure applies
Following the award of an ESRC Researcher Development Initiative grant we
are seeking to recruit an experienced post-graduate researcher to join us
on a part-time basis to teach psychometric statistics to applied
researchers in UK universities. The ESRC Researcher Development Initiative
supports the training and development of researchers in social sciences.
The post would suit a statistician, a quantitative psychologist or a
highly numerate social scientist, with experience of teaching advanced
multivariate statistics (including assessment methods and models).
Applicants will need to be fluent in a range of latent structure analyses,
structural equation models, and item response theory methodologies.
The post holder will work under the direction of Professor John Rust,
Director of The Psychometrics Centre, Faculty of Social and Political
Sciences and in close collaboration with Professor Susan Golombok,
Director of the Centre for Family Research and Dr Tim Croudace from the
Department of Psychiatry in the School of Clinical Medicine.
The post is available from 1st January 2008 to 31st March 2009.
