LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES ASSISTANT
£18,837 p.a. plus final salary pension scheme, pro rata, part time for 21 hours per week
The Museum of London is looking for a motivated Library and Archives Assistant to help provide and maintain the library and archive services of the Museum of London Group. Primarily based at the Museum in Docklands, the post holder will be required to work in the Sainsbury Study Centre on open days (Tuesdays, Thursdays and one Saturday per month). Working with three major collections across two sites you will support visitors and researchers and answer enquiries. You will also assist with the storage, conservation and documentation of the collections.
The successful candidate must have experience of providing information services to the public, ideally within a library, archive or museum environment. You must be a good communicator, be well-organised, with good computer skills, and a passion for history/historic collections.
