Library Displays: a CoFHE London & South-East Circle event
Want to have fun and learn how to produce eye-catching, professional-
looking displays in your library? The Alternative Display Company will be
running their popular course for us on Thursday October 25th at Carshalton
College. Carshalton is easy to reach, as it is a 30 minute train journey
from London Victoria, and the college is only a few minutes walk from the
train station. For more details on how to get there, see
www.carshalton.ac.uk/contactUs.shtm
The course covers a wide range of techniques including creating 3-D
effects and suspended displays, using colours and themes, and using
different types of materials. The course will give you the skills to
create effective library displays, which won’t cost a huge amount to
produce. You’ll also get the chance to work in small groups to put your
new skills into practice.
The Alternative Display Company have had rave reviews from library staff
in the past. For example, some comments from the last time this course
was run included:
"Excellent and wide-ranging techniques. Brilliant ideas for very
effective displays"
"Best training event I've attended".
Non-CoFHE members are welcome to attend.
