I refer to those who use sentimentality for beguiling people's hearts
... and I'd include in that a huge swathe of religious art, a large
part of which is camp and kitsch. All those shitty pictures of the
liddle babee jaysus, the "virgin" mary, all that ecstasy, the twisting
of people's hearts to come to the table. I'm having problems here
seperating kitsch and cam from religion. Something in common with the
Village People?
