I thought some people might be interested in these new applications if you
interact with media, podcasts, and social web sites. The widgets are free
resources for museums, educational institutions and people interested in the
arts.
There are now museum specific video, audio, and image widget players for
individuals with Facebook accounts. These widgets are a great resource if
you want to bring exposure to your media in social web sites like Facebook,
MySpace or add embed code to a web site, blog or other platforms. The
widgets have been approved by Facebook and are listed on the educational
widget directory on Facebook. Over 25 million Facebook users now have access
to museum uploaded media content with these widgets.
If you are not familiar with how this technology works...it is pretty basic.
You upload the media to the players at http://mesn.museumpods.com and people
that use the widgets on other sites (Facebook, MySpace, blogs, web sites)
can view the content.
You either need to be logged on Facebook or visit http://mesn.museumpods.com
to view or use these widgets.
The museum video player. You can upload a variety of video formats to this

MySpace, web site or blog.

This is a museum MP3 player (like a jukebox) You can either upload MP3 files
or copy the link location of an MP3 file from a web site and paste to the
upload feature. People with Facebook accounts can listen to the updated MP3
files. You can also get embed code and upload the player to a MySpace, web
site or blog.

You can upload images directly to this widget or you can import them from
flickr. People with Facebook accounts can view the images in a slide show
presentation format. People enjoy seeing images of museums. You can also get
embed code and upload the player to a MySpace, web site or blog.
