Gary,
It looks like the problem with loading your project is to do with the
mixing up and consistency of the XML files with one another, probably
because two projects have been using the same set of files.
I think it likely that the fault is not a problem with the loading of
old unsullied projects: we are quite careful to guarantee backward
compatibility. The backward compatibility code however cannot cope with
projects where files have been written-to in an inconsistent state. Such
inconsistencies may have arisen due to the system with saving projects and
using URLs being unclear. As we have mentioned however, this is being
considerably improved for the next release.
I think the ideal thing to do with all of the projects which fail to load
is to send them to us so that they can be fixed and so that we get an idea
about what may be causing the issue. If we get an early idea what is going
on we can try to prevent any future load fails, you would not need to be
concerned with any of the finer points of the XML and nothing should be
unnecessarily fraught.
