Dear BUGS users,
I am trying to use BUGS to fit a censored Weibull survival model. The code
compiles correctly. However, when I try to update the model, I
receive "log: SING error".
The main component of my code is:
for (i in 1:N){
failure[i] ~ dweib(r,mu[i])I(failure.cens[i],);
mu[i] <- exp(beta.0 +
beta.patient[1]*x1[i] + beta.patient[2]*x2[i] +
beta.patient[3]*x3[i] + beta.patient[4]*x4[i] +
beta.patient[5]*x5[i] + beta.patient[6]*x6[i] +
beta.patient[7]*x7[i] + beta.patient[8]*x8[i] +
beta.patient[9]*x9[i]);
}
Informative proper priors are placed on the regression parameters. For
this test case, prior distributions had means equal to the maximum
likelihood estimates, and precisions were the reciprocal of the variances
of the parameter estimates from the ML estimation.
Continuous variables have been standardized to have mean 0 and standard
deviation 1.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to modify the model so that it
updates correctly?
Thanks,
Peter
