Wireless technology briefing - 1 day event, 25th October.
Due to popular demand, JANET(UK) will be running a free 1 day event
focusing on current issues in wireless.
The event will be held at Days Hotel, Manchester Conference Centre on
25th October 2007 and is aimed at both managerial and technical staff at
JANET-connected sites.
The full programme will be published shortly, but the event will
include an overview of the new developments in wireless, including
802.11n, single channel operation technology for site APs and the
development of the OpenSEA 802.1X supplicant.
The programme will also feature a community case study of a large scale
wireless rollout, and give an insight into administrators' requirements
from wireless connectivity.
This wireless briefing is being held 'back to back' with the
"Fundamentals of Wireless networking" JANET Training course on 24th
October also in Manchester, giving some attendees the opportunity to
attend both events and cover the basics of the technology plus current
hot issues facing our community in a single package.
