The agenda for the local government group meeting planned for November 21st
has now been finalised and will shortly appear on the Records Management
Society's web site on the local government group pages.
The theme of the meeting will be a "Spotlight on Records Management" and
this will include presentations on the Records Lifecyle versus Continuum; A
Practical Way to use ISO15489; EDMS Benefits Analysis; "Hitting the ground
running - what to do if they've already bought the software" and an open
discussion about retention periods chaired by Keith Batchelor, which will
give participants an opportunity to put their burning retention questions
to Keith.
The afternoon will consist of breakout groups discussing the"Twenty Hot
Potatoes Records Managers are Afraid to Touch".
The meeting will take place at the Westminster Archives Centre and is open
to everyone (and free of charge) although preference will be given to RMS
members, so please state if you are a member when asking for a place.
