Assistant Press Officer
Nature Publishing Group is seeking an Assistant Press Officer to work in
our editorial press office.
Online and in print, our content yields an enormous amount of media
coverage worldwide every week. The draft human genome, Dolly, climate
change, controversies over scientific misconduct - these are just some of
the highly varied developments that our press office deals with, often at
short notice, while keeping statements to the media scientifically
accurate and hype-free. The Assistant Press Officer will have
responsibility for dealing with requests from journalists, liaison with
authors, promoting research to media and general administrative duties in
order that this busy press office continues to maintain its high
standards.
The successful applicant will have a science degree, an understanding of
the international media landscape, a cool head, and exceptionally wide
scientific interests.
This position is a permanent contract and based in our non-smoking offices
in King’s Cross.
All candidates must demonstrate the right to live and work in the UK to be

QUALIFICATION LEVEL: Undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
