Postdoctoral positions in Nano Science are available at KAIST (Korea
Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in the Innovative Nanowire
Lab of Prof. Bongsoo Kim group. Our interest is in
1) Single-crystalline Metal Nanowire(NW) Synthesis such as Ag, Au, Pd, Bi.
2) Physical Properties measurement using SQUID measuring magnetic
properties and PPMS measuring Magnetoresistance of single NW device.
3) Development of biomedical sensor using SERS(surface enhanced Raman
scattering) with Ag/Au NWs.
4) Metal silicide NW synthesis such as CoSi, FeCoSi, Co2Si, FeSi and
fabrication of spintronics devices using them.
We have developed new methods of synthesizing single-crystalline metal and
metal silicide NWs in vapor phase. These newly synthesized NWs present
excellent opportunities to investigate the physical properties of NWs in
deep fundamentals. In order to fabricate the electronic and spintronic
devices and biomedical sensors we welcome scientists who have diverse
background such as physics, cell biology, biochemistry, and electrical
engineering as well as physical chemistry. We were recently selected as a
National Research Laboratory, which provides support for 5 years.
Interested candidates would be able to find more information about our
group in the internet homepage of nanowire.kaist.ac.kr and should send a
CV to :
