I hope that the recent, very, auction of an item on the ubiquitous Ebay site of a photograph of Van Mine, apparently bearing the legend 'from the David Bick Collection', does not bode ill for the ultimate fate of the collection. Perhaps it was a duplicate that David gave away before his death or maybe some other reason for its sale accounts for its appearance thereon.
I understand that some at least of David's collection was sold/auctioned or given to various people before and following his death, his book collection perhaps. I am particularly interested to learn the fate of his magnificent painting of one of the Llandudno mines.
