Open Archive: The Miners' Strike: A Case study in Regional Content.
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work on the
AHRC/BBC funded Open Archive project. The Open Archive Project is part
of a BBC initiative to make archive content available online. This
project will examine the issues associated with sensitive materials
and is based on a case-study of the 1984/5 Miners' Strike.
You will posses a degree in a relevant subject area and have previous
experience of conducting and analysing interviews, focus groups and
the ability to produce and edit academic reports. An interest in
archival/ historical resources and excellent communication, skills are
essential.
Travel to and from various locations to conduct focus groups, and some
flexibility with working hours is necessary to the post.
