Ah ok, bingo!
as others have hinted at as well, you're mixing glite 3.0 and glite 3.1
RPM's. The 'rpm -qif' you're giving below is from the SL3/glite 3.0 RPM
(I've justed verified it on a SL3 WN here), not the SL4/glite 3.1 RPM.
Try upgrading to the SL4 rpms by doing a
rpm --force -Fvh
http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/EGEE/gLite/R3.1/glite-WN/sl4/i386/RPMS.updates/lcg_util-1.5.2-1.i386.rpm
rpm --force -Fvh
http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/EGEE/gLite/R3.1/glite-WN/sl4/i386/RPMS.updates/GFAL-client-1.9.3-1.i386.rpm
and then retry the 'lcg-cr' copy command.
Of course, there is no guarantee that all other RPMs are from the proper
glite 3.1 repository. The proper thing to do is to reinstall your WN's
using a clean glite 3.1/SL4 repository to avoid any RPM minglings.
Note to the developers:
This pitfall is (too) easy to step into, perhaps the glite developers
should include the intended platform in the release version inside the
.spec file. For my project we've added a blob
6 %if "%{_vendor}" == "suse"
7 %define platform suse
8 %define _version %(sed -n 's/VERSION =
\\([0-9]*\\)\..*/\\1/p' /etc/SuSE-release)
9 %define osversion suse%{_version}
10 %endif
11
12 %if "%{_vendor}" == "redhat"
13 %define platform redhat
14 %define _version %(sed -e 's/.* \\([0-9]\\).*/\\1/'
/etc/redhat-release)
15 %if "%(cut -d' ' -f 1 /etc/redhat-release)" == "Fedora"
16 %define platform Fedora
17 %define osversion fc%{_version}
18 %else
19 %define osversion rhel%{_version}
20 %endif
21 %endif
35 Release: 2.%{osversion}
to the spec files. This translates into rhel3 for SL3 and compatibles,
rhel4 for SL4 and compatibles etc.
