Alternative medice, for its worth, creates a very difficult explanations, in
the traditional rationalisaton process of the last 500 years. It questions
the idea of progress (i.e. so the doctor is not always/often right!) ,
withchhunting (perhaps we should respect non western people), demonisation
of diversity (i.e. if you are not like me you are disabled) and non-western
'knowledge' (i.e. the uncivilised have been always us) It leads us to belive
that material reality is not what methodological-linear mind says it is (the
Cartesian project) but what our senses, the external environment, our
outomatic pilot, says it is. A difficlut soup to bite for those trained in
the art of the dominant episteme. However, in this episteme every 5 hundred
years one could hear saying 'the world is square shape, believe me'!
