Records Manager
£33,914 - £37,681 (incl. LWA)
The University seeks a professionally qualified records manager for an
interesting and varied permanent post based in Archives Services (part of
the Information Systems and Library Services department).
As Records Manager you will provide advice and assistance on a full range
of records issues and develop both policy initiatives and practical
projects. You will also promote and advance electronic records management
across the University. Supporting and contributing to the University’s
information compliance strategy is an important part of your role.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills will be needed, as well as a
sound understanding of records and information issues. You should have the
ability to articulate records issues and an enthusiasm for introducing
them to new audiences. The postholder will be expected to develop contacts
with academic and administrative staff across the University and with
other records managers within the wider professional community. You will
need either a professional qualification plus some experience in records
management or a proven track record in managing the records of a large
organisation.
