The candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Life Science
or a related field. A degree in Statistics is desirable. Jobholder should
have extensive experience in biometrics and management involving multi-site
management. Experience within a CRO is ideal. Knowledge of ORACLE, SQL, SAS
and experience in PC Windows/Window NT environment considered a plus. The
jobholder should be able to understand, organize and supervise staff to work
concurrently on several projects, each with specific requirements that may
differ from project to project. He/she must possess strong team working
skills with the ability to motivate, provide support and coach others to
accomplish business goals. He/she should be attentive to detail, flexible,
and open to suggestions and possess excellent communication skills.
Jobholder should be able to interact with staff from multiple departments
and multiple locations to establish project standards.
Job Summary
Primary responsibility to lead all Biometrics operational activities for
assigned region(s) within company. This includes direct responsibility for
projects led within the region, for successful delivery of biometrics
services from the region, and for financial performance and personnel within
the region. Primary responsibility for Level 3 Balanced Scorecard for
assigned region(s). To contribute to the financial well-being, sales,
marketing strategy, business partnerships and overall quality deliverables
of the Global Biometrics organization. To work in partnership with VP
Biometrics and Global Biometrics Leadership Team to ensure global
standardization of biometrics services, and maintenance of global standards,
policies and procedures. To collaborate in the development and realization
of a long term vision and strategy for Global Biometrics in line with the
global organisation. Manage Directors, Assistant Directors and other staff.
Core Responsibilities
Finance • Fully accountable for meeting competitive revenue targets and the
overall profitability of the biometrics organization in the assigned
regions(s) Operations • Provides strategic direction and management for
Biometrics at company sites across assigned region(s) • Manages according to
goals, objectives, performance standards and assessment measures for
Biometrics • Responsible for ensuring the completion of Biometrics services
within the region in compliance with Good Clinical Practices and within
expected timelines, budgets and contractual requirements Sales & Marketing •
Leads Biometrics sales and marketing efforts by supporting development of
proposals, reviewing pricing models, participating at bid defense meetings
and sponsor presentations. • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships
with customers, internal and external, within the region Personnel /
Staffing • Responsible for hiring and maintaining a sufficient staff,
allocated appropriately across the region and trained to perform tasks
required by project contracts • Supports the implementation of training
programs and individualized training plans • Supports the implementation of
global job descriptions, career development plans and organizational
structure for biometrics • Provides career opportunities, direct mentoring
for Directors, Assistant Directors and other senior level biometrics staff
and direct reports • Supports development and implementation of reward and
recognition structures that identify and reinforce successful behavior •
Keeps departments informed about organizational goals, long-term vision and
initiatives and how high-level goals pertain to individuals Other • Serves
on corporate initiative committees as required • Anticipates industry
trends, investigates and performs cost-benefit analyses on new technical
procedures, software and equipment to enhance the efficiency and quality of
operations; directs the implementation of these technologies and arranges
for installation, maintenance and ongoing support as required • Leads
Biometrics integration activities across company sites and regions as
necessary • Performs other tasks as necessary to meet the needs of the
business and to support VP, Global Biometrics
