Medical Statistician (Permanent) Ref: SPHS07/559
You will provide statistical and data management support to a team researching ethnic differences in health using a range of complex data sets based on studies of different designs (e.g. longitudinal, cross sectional) and settings (e.g. international, schools, neighbourhoods).
You will have a good degree in a Social Sciences/Human Sciences/Statistics and a PhD in Medical Statistics or in an area with a high statistical content.
Public Health Scientist Ref: SPHS07/564
(Fixed term for two years)
You will have a good honours degree in Social/Human Sciences and a PhD (awarded or submitted) in Epidemiology/Medical Sociology/Social Sciences, with an emphasis on nutritional epidemiology and physical activity. You will also have work or research experience in public health intervention research.
The starting salary for each of these posts will be in the region £24,993 - £26,555 per annum, depending on your skills and capabilities.
