Course: Understanding Credit Scoring - Presented by: David Edelman
4th October 2007 - The Apex City Hotel, Edinburgh
Credit scoring is now the most common means of banks and other lenders
making consumer lending decisions. For example, without explicit warning
and within the law, most UK consumers are scored several times each month.
At the heart of credit scoring lies a variety of statistical methods and
models. This workshop introduces the delegates to the business context and
discusses the statistical methods and models and related statistical issues
within that context.
This workshop is designed for those who do not work in credit risk but wish
to understand a little about credit scoring and how it is used in a modern
consumer lending environment. This might include people working in a
lending business but not in a Risk department, or those who wish to consider
applying the techniques and strategy of credit scoring to other business
problems. It could also include those who are considering or who have
recently embarked on a career in credit scoring. One other group comprises
those doing research into credit scoring techniques and methodologies for
whom the workshop represent an opportunity to learn about the practical
business environment in which their research might be implemented.
We look forward to receiving your registration.
