Hi Alyson,
Fabulous idea. How did you deal with Data Protections concerns?
Thanks

Subject: Record of Disability Support requirements
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has developed a database recording local
residents with disabilities who require adjustments in the way we deal
with them - for example, having all letters in large print or Braille, or
having a BSL interpreter provided at meetings. The database is accessible
by all council staff, meaning that once a person is on the database, they
won't have to keep giving details of their needs over and over to
different council departments - my colleagues will just be able to check
the database before sending out letters, organising meetings etc.
As far as I am aware, we are the first local authority in England to have
a database like this. Does anyone know of anything similar?
Thanks
