A huge omission. In Canada we don't seem to have such people or
institutions - at least not readily apparent in BC. Which is a great
shame. The contribution of doctors to pre-hospital care in the UK is a
very 'special' thing and has great value.

Good to hear - principles are important.

Sorry to read that. My experience with the new PHTLS manual has been a bit
different - some of us from WEMSI contributed a 'wilderness' chapter -
that I still quite like after the editors did their 'thing' with it.
They honoured their agreement to send me a free copy - and got the credits
right in the book (except a wrong address for one of us - it seems the
publisher thinks that particular contributor is living with me!)
Cheers
