Yes - things 'out East' are different and more progressive I think. Now we
all know that West is Best but sadly not as forward looking :-) I think
the program you describe may be the only one in Canada - but I am not sure.
Certainly there is not a culture of docs being actively involved in
pre-hospital care (beyond being on the end of a phone) in BC. That is a
bit different in our patch these days - but it is not the norm.
