PART-TIME RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (50%) - GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SCIENCE

An opportunity has arisen to join a multi-disciplinary team investigating
the spatial and temporal distribution of Ultra Fine Particles (UFPs) and
associated patterns of human exposure. The research is funded by the NERC
Environment and Human Health programme. It is led by Dr Martin Gallagher
(School of Earth, Atmospheric & Environmental Science) with Prof Raymond
Agius (Centre for Occupational & Environmental Health) and Dr. Sarah Lindley
(SED). The post-holder will primarily be involved in the Geographical
Information Science elements of the research working particularly closely
with Dr. Lindley.
Applicants should have an extensive knowledge and understanding of the
theory and practice of spatial analysis techniques and ideally have
experience of ArcGIS. You will have completed, or be about to complete, a
post-graduate qualification in a subject related to GISc. It is also
desirable that applicants have some familiarity with urban air pollution and
epidemiology research.
The post is part-time (50%) and available for a fixed term of 11 months from
1st October.

£26,666 - £27,466 (pro rata) p.a
