Such good news. I've been thinking for some time I should haul myself
down to NYU or wherever they store old dissertations and have a look.
I'll make a space for it on my shelf. I just can't imagine what the
Spenser world would do without Andrew Zurcher. I would add that now
what we need is an edition of those 18th c. imitations of Spenser,
awful though some of them are. They are on ECCO, but as we were
discussing a while back not everyone gets ECCO and in any case all
you get is the text, of course, not modern Spenserian commentary. Or
has this been done--I mean editions, not modern studies of Spenser's
nachleben? Anne.
