RESEARCHER (1.0 FTE)
£26,391 - £27,048 per annum

Birmingham Women's Hospital in collaboration with UCE Birmingham, De Montfort University, Leicester, and Middlesex University, London has been awarded a Research for Patient Benefit grant by the National Institute for Health Research to undertake research into the needs of minority ethnic women with endometriosis, and the development of resource materials for women and health professionals.
You will take the lead in obtaining ethics approval, collecting data, analysing and writing up the project. This will include managing recruitment onto the study, undertaking field research, liaising with all collaborating sites and stakeholders, supporting sessional workers, maintenance of study website, and production of resource materials.
You should be educated to Master's level in a social science subject or beyond, although registration for a PhD is possible. You should possess skills and experience in qualitative research methods and be familiar with qualitative data analysis packages such as NVIVO, NUDIST or Atlas ti. Experience of research with minority ethnic communities and/or a qualification in a health profession is desirable. You should have excellent writing, communication and presentation skills. The post will be based at UCE Birmingham's Perry Barr campus, but travel to all collaborating sites will be necessary.
