Organisational governance and patient safety
Are you a graduate in social sciences wishing to pursue a higher degree?
Would you like the opportunity to gain a PhD in an important topic within healthcare organisation, while funded for full time study via a substantial tax exempt studentship?
This is an exciting opportunity for a social scientist with an interest in applied health research to carry out a PhD within the new National Patient Safety and Quality Research Centre, funded by the National Institute for Health Research. The Centre is a partnership between King's College London and King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This studentship will be attached to the research programme on 'organisational governance' within the Centre, and the focus of the project will be to study the management of risk at organisational level, using the control of hospital acquired infections as a case study.
The award will provide a maintenance grant of £19,300 per annum (full time), which is exempt from tax and NI, and PhD fees.
For further information on this award and details of how to apply, please go to http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/sspp/mgmt/phdstudentships.html
Closing date: 29th October 2007.
If you wish to discuss this award further, please contact Professor Naomi Fulop on tel. 020 7848 4142 or email: [log in to unmask]
