I apologise in advance for cross-posting.
The TRKC (Transport Research Knowledge Centre) project is launching a
survey about the transfer of results from EU-funded transport research
projects to academic courses and all lecturers are invited to participate.
The survey is carried out by partners of the TRKC (Transport Research
Knowledge Centre) project funded by DGTREN of the European Commission
within the Sixth Framework Programme. The main objective of this project
is to collect, structure and analyse transport research results and
disseminate them via a dedicated web-based Transport Research Knowledge
Centre available at http://ec.europa.eu/transport/extra/web.
The TRKC web portal, initially established within the FP5 EXTR@Web
project, provides easily accessible information on research programmes and
projects carried out at both European and national levels, as well as
thematic analyses of transport research results.
The TRKC project not only aims at collecting and analysing information on
more recent research activities, but it also intends to offer a clearer
insight into the use of the research results. This is supported by the
European Commission which aims to maximise the use of the products of the
research activities funded by the Commission itself. In particular, the
TRKC project intends to address issues related to the use of research
results in education. To this end, we are carrying out a survey on
lecturers' experiences in using research results in their academic course
(s).
The results of the survey will be presented at a workshop, which will take
place in Rome on the 28th September 2007 at the Institute of Systems
Analysis and Computer Science (IASI). The subject of the workshop will be
the use of transport research in university education.
To collect the necessary information, we have prepared a questionnaire and
we would very highly appreciate it if you could complete it online at
http://www.ctl.uniroma1.it/TRKCProject/home.htm.
Please send an email to [log in to unmask] with just “TRKC” as
subject and you will receive a username and a password to be able to login
and start the questionnaire.
Thank you very much in advance for your kind assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Paolo Delle Site
