I willl be the first person to say that default tcp window sizes are
too small in standard SL, but i beleive the YAIM introduced changes
the sysctl.conf file to be to large. Why was a minimum window size of
128KB chosen? ( Granted this may be more appropiate for default value
window size so as to allow efficeingt WAN traffic. but for use within
a LAN is anappropiate for a minimum window size IMHO.)
I think these values were set in my DPM config via the file:
/opt/glite/yaim/functions/config_DPM_disk
Though this does not seeem to have occured on my DPM head node or on
dcache pools. Has this yaim functionality of changing sysctl.conf only
applied to DPM_disk and/or is therer a plan to extend this to other
yaim inmstalled glite components.
