**STUDY GROUP UPDATE**

I hope that this email finds you all well.

This message is to mention two things:

1) To remind everyone about the European Sociological Association's 
Conference in Glasgow in September 2007. FINAL REGISTRATION DATE: 27th 
August. http://www.esa8thconference.com/

As part of our role as co-ordinators of the ESA's Research Network for the 
Sociology of Social Policy, Justin Waring and I are running a paper stream 
which we believe may also be of interest to members of this BSA/SPA group. 
The papers are concentrated over two days of the conference - 4th-5th 
September. I have attached the programme here. We do hope to see some of 
you there!

2) Also, just to let you know that I have moved institutions and am now 
based at the University of Leeds.

Finally - Justin and I will be meeting this summer to discuss future study 
group activities and events. If you have any ideas about events that you
