I have been trying to run a t-test with covariates and it crashes each time. I have a within subjects comparison - all subjects went through the paradigm in 2 conditions that I am comparing. I also want to see if this effect of condition depends on score on a self-report survey measure. I created batch file setting up comparisons at the group level (I have run contrasts for each subject in each condition separately). So I have the contrast files for each subject and for each condition that I enter in as pairs for a paired t-test. Then when I add a vector with my covariate survey data for each participant, I get the following error message after the analysis begins (it runs part of the paired t-test, but stops with this alert): Running "Contrast Manager"
Changing directory to: E:\EmotEating\moodacrossemot\2
1 -1 <- !invalid contrast
Error running job:
Error using ==> spm_config_contrasts>setupcon
Error in contrast specification
Anyone know how to run a paired t-test with a covariate? I can provide more information about what I am looking for if needed.
