The past three years, Barts and The London has developed a robust framework for Information Governance as a key driver of the Trust's ability to deliver excellence in all aspects of patient care. We are now looking for an experienced and highly motivated Information Governance Manager to drive forward the next stage of our Information Governance Strategy and to continue to raise awareness across all Trust staff so that good Information Governance is embedded into their day to day work.
This role is responsible for managing the Information Governance agenda across the entire Trust, bringing together Information Quality Assurance, Data Protection, Caldicott, Records Management, Information Security and Freedom of Information into a comprehensive work programme. This will be achieved through a combination of direct management of some staff and close working with other teams and departments.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with significant professional and managerial experience in an Information Governance environment. You will have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and guidance and its practical implementation within an NHS setting, including a detailed knowledge and understanding of the NHS Information Governance Toolkit.
Educated to degree level, you will have strong leadership and managerial skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of drive and determination. You will need to demonstrate a proven ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation, to implement and embed change and to work effectively across teams and specialities to deliver a wide-ranging work programme.
