A breakfront is made of wood and glass with glass
doors through which the china can be seen, but not
touched. We had one that my husband's great
grandfather the queen cherished. My great grandfather
had had it shipped from China as a wedding gift for
my great grandmother. We treasued it and used it to
house my collection of Depression glass.
Unfortunately., we had to sell it (for $1000) during a
critical financial period. I treasured it and wanted
to give it to my daughter eventually, but, as it was
now my husband's property, I had no say in the
matter.
