Very interesting visual textures in the letters, Peter, and the feeling for
me that some are wood and some are metal, and some are made from plumbing
due to those drain strainers - I love the detail of the screws in them. The
whiteness of the 'e' in the foreground gives it a floating feeling and
provides perspective to much of that area of the work. (I can't help but
wonder what Robert Hughes would say in his guarded enthusisastic way if he
were presenting this on television, perhaps in The Shock of the Post-New.)
