The School of Communication, Culture & Creative Arts is seeking to
appoint a Visiting Lecturer to teach on a new first year module,
'Studying the Media' on the BA/BSc degree course in Media Arts. The
module offers a comprehensive and concise introduction to media and
cultural theory. It also incorporates some essential learning skills
including basic research methods, methods of media analysis, essay
writing and referencing. The module will be taught on Thursday
afternoons each week in Semester One (October to December 2007) and
will be based at the Waldegrave Road campus, Twickenham.
You will have a relevant postgraduate qualification and / or
experience of teaching in Higher Education. The post may be suitable
for research students in media, film and cultural studies, keen to
develop their academic career by gaining valuable lecturing experience
in an institution recognised for its commitment to excellence in
teaching.
