The editors of Library & Information Research warmly welcome the
submission of papers for consideration for publication in the December
issue of Library & Information Research. Library and Information
Research is an international open access journal published online by the
Library and Information Research Group. The journal publishes both
refereed and non-refereed submissions.
This will be a themed issue focussing on the use of Web 2.0
technologies, user generated and shared content, and social networking.
In particular, we hope to include papers on topics such as:
* Web 2.0 applications and libraries
* Web 2.0 applications for KM in organisations
* Social Network Analysis and information flows
* Regulatory, ethical and policy implications of Web 2.0 applications
* User generated content and information quality
* The use of Web 2.0 applications in LIS education
This is not an exclusive list. The focus of the journal is on linking
research and practice, and we particularly welcome papers that offer
opportunities for research findings to inform and influence the practice
of LIS professionals.
Further information about the journal and instructions for authors can
be found at http://www.lirg.org.uk/lir/ojs/index.php/lir . Papers for
consideration should be submitted to this site. Please note you will
need to register on the site in order to submission. Please notify
whether you would like papers to be submitted to peer review for
inclusion as refereed content. The editors will be happy to be contacted
if you have any queries concerning suitability of papers or concerning
electronic submission of papers.
The deadline for submissions is 1 October 2007.
